Vision
Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services.
Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of individuals and groups in pursuit of health, and function in hospitals, community nursing services, and research in nursing practice.
They are also expected to assume the roles of teacher, supervisor, and manager in clinical and public health settings.
Mission
On completion of B.Sc. Nursing degree programme the graduates will be able to:
M1: Assess health status, identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients / clients that contribute to health of individuals, families and communities.
M2:Demonstrate competency in techniques of nursing based on concepts and principles from selected areas of nursing, physical, biological and behavioral sciences.
M3: Participate as members of health team in the promotive, preventive, curative and restorative health care delivery system of the country.
M4:Demonstrate skills in communication and interpersonal relationship.
M5: Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision-making abilities in various situations.
M6: Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in community health settings.
M7:Demonstrate managerial skills in community health settings.
M8: Practice ethical values in their personal and professional life.
M9: Participate in research activities and utilize research findings in improving nursing practice.
M10: Recognize the need for continued learning for their personal and professional development.
