About Santoshimata College of Nursing

SantoshiMata Bahuuddeshiay Shaikshanik Seva Sanstha was established in with the intention of rural educational development. The society runs a network of engineering college, management college, pharmacy college, bachelor of education college, polytechnic college & paramedical courses like B.Sc Nursing. It is with this background to train the nurses to become competent for the first level position in nursing to provide quality care in Hospital & Community & there by contributing to the health care of country formulation that. This year we have commenced the course of B.Sc. Nursing, a degree of 4 years programme, affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nasik (MUHS) recognized by Maharashtra Nursing Council, New Delhi.

The college of nursing has excellent in infrastructural facilities, hostel facilities & library facilities. The students of the institute are exposed to the best clinical facilities available & are trained under the guidance of well qualified & dedicated teaching staff, wearing to give the best possible education & training to the students will a view to equip them for better professional & personal life.

Vision and Mission

Vision

Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services.

Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of individuals and groups in pursuit of health, and function in hospitals, community nursing services, and research in nursing practice.

They are also expected to assume the roles of teacher, supervisor, and manager in clinical and public health settings.

Mission

On completion of B.Sc. Nursing degree programme the graduates will be able to:

M1: Assess health status, identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients / clients that contribute to health of individuals, families and communities.

M2:Demonstrate competency in techniques of nursing based on concepts and principles from selected areas of nursing, physical, biological and behavioral sciences.

M3: Participate as members of health team in the promotive, preventive, curative and restorative health care delivery system of the country.

M4:Demonstrate skills in communication and interpersonal relationship.

M5: Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision-making abilities in various situations.

M6: Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in community health settings.

M7:Demonstrate managerial skills in community health settings.

M8: Practice ethical values in their personal and professional life.

M9: Participate in research activities and utilize research findings in improving nursing practice.

M10: Recognize the need for continued learning for their personal and professional development.
